Shadow of Mordor Dominasi Nominasi di GDC Awards 2015
Game Develepers Conference 2015 akan digelar di San Francisco pada Maret mendatang. Dalam ajang tahunan tersebut, akan diselenggarakan acara penghargaan bagi game-game terbaik yang meluncur ke pasaran selama setahun terakhir.
Baru-baru ini, nominasi-nominasi dari penghargaan yang disebut Game Developers Choice Awards 2015 itu telah diumumkan. Dari sekian banyak kategori yang ada, nama Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor garapan Monolith Productions berulang kali muncul.
Shadow of Mordor berhasil menjadi salah satu nominasi dari kategori Game of the Year. Pada kategori tersebut, Shadow of Mordor harus bersaing dengan Bayonetta 2, Destiny, Alien: Isolation, dan Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.
Selain berhasil masuk sebagai nominasi di Game of the Year, Shadow of Mordor juga berpeluang untuk menjadi pemenang di kategori Innovation Award, Best Design, Best Narrative, dan Best Technology. Dalam acara tersebut, nantinya pihak penyelenggara juga akan memberikan penghargaan special untuk Pioneer, Ambassador dan Lifetime Achievement awards.
“Baik finalis dan pemenang dipilih oleh International Choice Awards Network (ICAN) yang memang spesifik untuk GDC Awards, yang merupakan organisasi tertutup (khusus undangan), terdiri dari pencipta game ternama dari berbagai bagian industri,” jelas pihak penyelenggara.
